The 59th birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is today 18 October.

 His birthday has been declared as 'Sheikh Russell Day' to highlight the life of Shishu Russell to children and teenagers.  So like every year this time also "Sheikh Russell Day" was celebrated in the presence of all the teachers and students of every class of Gachia Shamsuddin Sikander High School.
